Print & Alignment Halftone/rosette pattern looks soft or uneven under zoom. Misregistration between colors (edges show ghosting / offset). Microtext or fine lines look blurry compared to genuine cards. Edge shows no blue core or odd white fraying.

Material & Finish Card stock feels too soft (overly flexible) or too thick. Surface finish/reflection looks mismatched vs expected set. Corner radius looks off (too sharp or uneven).

Light & Weight tests Strong flashlight shows excess light bleed (too translucent). Weight is off by > ±5% vs reference. Height/width differ by > ±0.2 mm vs reference.

Foils (if applicable) Foil pattern/texture does not match authentic for this rarity/set. Foil bends/warps abnormally under mild pressure.

How to perform basic tests

Zoom check: Use the slider, look for rosette (tiny dots) and crisp microtext.
Edge/core: Inspect the edge under bright light; many genuine cards show a blue/grey core.
Flashlight test: Shine through from the back; genuine stock blocks more light.
Size & corners: Compare against a known genuine card with a ruler.
Foil pattern: Compare with a verified copy of same set/rarity if possible.
